Pranks

Unfortunately, pranks are not a tradition that is smiled upon at my camp. So, I have to get them secondhand. i.e., from you guys. I need your stories to live!

the first day...

The first day of camp. MMMM. Breath it in, girlie. That scent of pine needles and rain-battered wood will be what you wake up to every morning. The last thing you remember at night. Your memory trigger in the next year and the years to come. You might be tempted to wrap your arms around a tree and smell it and say "Hello, tree,we're going to be great friends." Go ahead. We know how you feel.
Your cabin assignment. The epic one word fate confirming rule. You might run inside, and find your bed next to the door. Maybe you wanted a top bunk, but on the plus side, you get a whole window all to yourself. You set up your bed, admonishing yourself for not packing more decorations, until your cabin mates say it "looks really really comfy, homey, you know."
This all happened to me last year, my first year at camp. Yes, it's true, I've only been to camp for one year. But from day one, nay, a year before! I had been addicted. I hoarded books about camp,  looked online for people's experiences (being unable to find comprehensive ones, i created my own. Ta-Da!) and drew picture after picture after picture.
The first day, I was so excited I could barely talk. After signing up but declining the free cookies (i was too squeamish), i started walking towards my cabin, Hernandos. Halfway there I passed 2 girls talking. They stopped when they saw me.
 "Hey, are you Jojo?"
"Yep"
she smiled. "You're in the bunk under me! I'm Julia, but you can call me Boo, this is Alison."
"Hi!"she smiled(always so nice, both of them"
At that moment, my entire heart lit up. I was home.
